DISSECTION live on this day in 1996, part of the World Tour of the Light's Bane. The tour was in support of their second album, Storm of the Light's Bane, which had been released in November 1995.
The European leg of their tour - with GORGOROTH and SATYRICON - began in early April, shortly after returning from a month long US tour in March with MORBID ANGEL and AT THE GATES.
GORGOROTH would release their second album, Antichrist, a couple of months later, in June 1996. Their set from the night can be seen below.
SATYRICON, who would release Nemesis Divina on the 22nd of this month, also played on the night. The footage below is from the same tour, but not in Trier.
The next day the tour entered Hamburg.
