22 Years Ago: OBTEST release Pries audra demo

You know it's not so easy to express the way music influences mixes. AC/DC, Manowar, Kreator were the bands whick took us in to metal music world back then. As a musician I was influenced by Kreator, Death, Grave, Paradise lost. During early black metal days heavy inspiration for me was Grand Belial's Key demo "Goat of a Thousand Young", Enslaved's Yggdrasill demo, Master's Hammer's Jilemnický okultista, Rotting Christ debut album, and etc. In 1994 it was a time when I experienced big influence from Norwegian black metal bands.

OBTEST released Prieš audrą, their last demo, on this day in 1995. The label Vetšo Mėnesio Vaizbuva, also from Vilnius, released both this demo tape and the following debut album, Tūkstantmetis, in 1997.

A 10", also titled Prieš audrą, was released a few years ago compiling this demo and their first, Oldness Comming.
