...it was me and the Guitarist Martin A. who founded the band in April '91. We sort of made this band just for fun, you know, and we made a few songs and recorded them in the Gorysound studio in Finspång, Sweden. With Martin G. from GRIMORIUM on the Vocals! Later on when the demo was out, we started to notice all the demo orders we got on the demo and we sold about 100 copies in just a month! Then we realized that we had done something good, also lots of zines got in contact and so on. So now we also have a bassist, Robban and the band DARKIFIED isn't a studio project any longer! We have also done a gig which was in Gothenburg in September '91 with CABAL and DARK TRANQUILITY (göörbra!) Tjena boys, läget!! That's the way it is.

DARKIFIED recorded Sleep Forever... on this day in 1992 at Dan Swanö's Gorysound Studios.
A 7"EP with one new 6-7 minues new song with some very strange ideas, and "The Forgotten City" from the demo, but in a new recording and a instrumental outro.

The lyrics on "Sleep Forever..." dedicated to Radek Olsen, "a true friend and Viking".
Their only other release was the 1991 demo Dark. Both releases were compiled by Relapse in 1995 as A Dance on the Grave. Subsequent reissues of the demo and Sleep Forever... compilation (which also include a recording of the gig mentioned in the interview above) are known as Cthulhu Riseth - The Complete Works of Darkified.
Vocalist Roberth Karlsson was also vocalist with PAN.THY.MONIUM and more recently FACEBREAKER, SCAR SYMMETRY, ZOMBIFIED, TORMENTED and AKTIV DODSHJALP. Drummer Jocke (Af Gravf) was also with MARDUK at the time and recorded drums on Fuck Me Jesus and Those of the Unlight, and was vocalist on Those... and Opus Nocturne.
