33 Years Ago: AMEBIX live at the Ambulance Station

AMEBIX live on this day in 1985 at The Ambulance Station; number 306 on the Old Kent Road, London. The venue, a fire station since the turn of the century until 1969, was taken over by anarchist, punks and squatters in 1984. The building was occupied until 1986 and hosted many benefit gigs, artists and activists (one of a few places used to organise the Stop the City protests). The ground floor was converted into a modest gig venue and became known as the Ambulance Station.

The full set was released as a bonus disc on the 2014 Amebix Records reissue of Arise!
