Just months after the fall of the Berlin wall, and still several months from formal reunification, the Thrashing East Festival took place at Werner-Seelenbinder-Halle, East Berlin on this day in 1990.

Thrashing East: a documentary featuring live clips. More interesting - since we have the full sets - is all the footage shot in and around Berlin at the time, and interviews with the bands, managers and others active in heavy metal in the DDR, Eastern Bloc countries and the Soviet Union.
