...the 1st studiorecordings with OPETH is our forthcoming CD "Orchid". It'll be released through UK label CANDLELIGHT and it'll feature 7 songs. Despite that there are so few songs the total running time will be about 65 minutes. I think that people who are into symphonic metal with a dark yet calm touch will like this coming volume
....I'm satisfied with our work on this recording! Of course there're thing that we might could have done better, but all in all I'm very satisfied. I think that it represents our sound from 1990 to the time of the recording. In the future it will be more symphonic and progressive. But still with the fimiliar OPETH touch. I'm also satisfied with the coverartwork.etc I won't tell you what it will look like. Just wait and behold.

OPETH released Orchid, their debut album, on this day in 1995 through Candlelight.
We didn't actually choose CANDLELIGHT REC. they chose us. Lee got a reh.tape from us. From listening to this tape he decided to offer us a deal. It's as simple as that! I think and hope that CANDLELIGHT will do a splendid job promoting OPETH. I think that this label is one of the most promising today!
