Nocturne was originally released on VHS in 1983. The live performances are collected from two live dates: 30.09.83 and 1.10.83. These dates took place in the prestigious Royal Albert Hall.
The lineup includes Robert Smith (THE CURE) who joined the band at the end of 1982.
Tracks include: Israel, Cascade, Melt!, Pulled to Bits, Night Shift, Sin in my Heart, Painted Bird, Switch, Eve White/Eve Black, Voodoo Dolly, Spellbound, Helter Skelter.

Special Features

  • Play at Home: a channel 4 music documentary series. The band took directorial control and rather than focus on interviews, they created a variety of obscure scenes with all band members playing Alice inside Wonderland. Includes songs by the two side-projects active at that time: The Creatures and The Glove.
  • Promotional video for Dear Prudence, a standalone single released by the "Hyaena" lineup (included on the US version of that LP).
  • Old Grey Whistle Test performances of Melt! and Painted Bird.
