15 Years Ago: ALTAR SHADOWS release I

ALTORIŲ ŠEŠĖLIAI (ALTAR SHADOWS) released the debut demo I on this day in 2005. A second demo followed in late 2006. The only album by ALTORIŲ ŠEŠĖLIAI - Margi sakalai (Speckledy Falcons) - was recorded in December 2006 and released by us in June 2007.

Several songs by ALTORIŲ ŠEŠĖLIAI revist earlier ideas including "Gelsvas mėnuo" (Yellow Moon), the song above. "Gelsvas mėnuo III" from Margi sakalai uses the same broad melody with additional electric guitar, and flute by Paulius Bagočius (AISTVARA).

ALTORIŲ ŠEŠĖLIAI was the work of Avinpapis. Although ALTORIŲ ŠEŠĖLIAI finished not long after the album Avinpapis remains involved in music. His brother Vandenis - who provided all the art design for ALTORIŲ ŠEŠĖLIAI - is now a successful multimedia artist. His most recent project is a collaboration with Vilius Jokubaitis.
