23 Years Ago: DEPRESSION record Ein Hauch von Moder

Over just seven hours, DEPRESSION recorded their debut EP, Ein Hauch von Moder, at Krähativsound on this day in 1996.

Six songs of groovy Death / Grind !!!
Including the great coverversion "Dogmatize" from BLOOD !!
Death/Grind the way it was meant to be !
It will be yours for only 5 DM !!

You have to think a while to understand the meaning of [the cover artwork]. I like this alot and it's the same for the "Ein Hauch Von Moder" 7", "Erinnerungen" demo and the other motives. And in this point I agree with you, the 7" and demo have a mystic cover. But I don't use these covers because of the fact that they are mystic but because they fit to the title. I don't want to use these cliche motives for Depression. We are a death/grind band, but I don't want to use these deformed bodies for a cover. I know that Mark (the other member) would like this alot more, but I suppose our music is cliche enough. We don't need a cliche image too, ha! It happens sometimes that I get letters from people who always thought that Depression was a gothic/doom band because of our name, the titles and the whole lay-out. I can understand this, but I like these beautiful lay-out, with love to the detail. On one hand this brutal music, and on the other and a carefully styled lay-out.
