25 Years Ago: CELTIC FROST release Parched with Thirst Am I and Dying (In the Chapel in the Moonlight)

CELTIC FROST released their compilation album on this day in 1992. Parched with Thirst Am I and Dying included a few albums tracks, but mostly unreleased, re-recorded and rare material like the song above, In The Chapel In The Moonlight - originally a Billy Hill number from 1936. FROST released their cover on the Noise 12" single The Collector's Celtic Frost in 1987.
Early versions of the song were performed by Shep Fields, our own Gracie Fields, Ruth Etting and others. Resurgent popularity in the late 50s/60s lead to new versions by Dean Martin, Richard Himber's orchestra, Kitty Kallen and various others.
