I describe our sound as hate-filled, uncompromising, relentless, riff shredding darkness that eats the listener alive.

DYING FETUS released their debut album, Purification Through Violence, on this day in 1996 through Pulverizer Records.
...we just did not and do not cup the mike ever and that can be seen live when we are singing and playing. In the studio, we sang through a screen and our mouths were several inches away from the microphone. If no one thinks people can sing without cupping the mike it's pretty easy got get deep, it just takes a lot of practice and determination to get low.

There is no hidden message and not much a message at all really. We concentrate on the music 90% and when it's all done I will put some lyrics to the song, and those lyrics only happen to be whatever is on my mind at the time I am writing them. So people who love lyrics and look for deep inspiration in the words of death metal bands may or may not find something they like in my words, if they do then that's cool.
