It's got some parts that are a little faster than "Gothic," but then there's some parts that are slower than anything we've done before. It's a more listenable Lp than anything we've done before, it's got more variation.

PARADISE LOST released their third album, Shades of God, on this day in 1992 through Music for Nations.

It's a concept way too deep for me, I'm lost in it. It's like a huge god head watching over to see whether or not people are resisting to temptation. The title "SOG," we believe god is a personal thing and that god is within you, and that there isn't one supreme god. That's not to say that we don't believe in god or we believe in anything. We believe in ourselves.
