CRANES recorded their second John Peel session on this day in 1990. The session aired on April 11.
The band were unsigned at the time (Peel mentions it during the broadcast, "you may be surprised to hear this...") but within a few months had a deal with BMG-backed Dedicated Records and released four singles between August 1990 and mid 1991. The first, Inescapable, features all three of the songs from this session (re-recorded) plus "Inescapable II".
