32 Years Ago: NME release Unholy Death (metal and speed kills!)

All of my infractions with the law really have nothing to do with the band. Other than the security guy who showed up 'cause I was smashing a bat while we were recording.
...when we were recording Unholy Death, and I was all pissed off and stressed, I took a baseball bat out and took my frustrations out on a little patch of grass and the security guy came out.

NME, a legendary cult band that captured the sound and spirit of VENOM and HELLHAMMER, unleashed Unholy Death, an album that stands tall alongside the greats, on this day in 1986. It has since become a classic in underground metal / first wave of black metal!

Travel on the winds of death, never stop
Brings on hate, always fighting
Got to fight 2 be free
Destroys their will forever, dead machines of war
Mutilate destroying life full throttle until you die...

Also on this day, on the other side of the country, NASA mission STS-51-L came to a premature end.
