Here in Britain Twilight Zone was a non-album single. A double-A side with "Wrathchild".
We couldn't afford to pay for another video for 'Twilight Zone', so we did a double A-side, because we knew we were gonna be off touring a lot and, if by any chance they wanted us on Top of the Pops again, at least we'd got a video for 'Wrathchild' (recorded live at the Rainbow, christmas 1980) we could give them.
Released on this day in 1981, a month after the Killers LP and during the Killers Tour of England, which began in Ipswich (the old Gaumont!) on 17 February.
Americans and Canadians got to hear it on their editions of Killers, song 2 on side B.
Since the 1998 remaster "Twilight Zone" has been included on the standard Killers track list - track 10, between "Purgatory" and "Drifter".
The Killers Tour was Paul Di'Anno's last with IRON MAIDEN. It traveled through Europe, Asia, Canada, USA, and back to Europe in 1981. His last show was 10 September, Dickinson joined and closed the tour in London on 23 December.
