Russian neo-folk, a project by Sever. LIHOLESIE began around 2002, Boundless Thirst for the Outside is the latest album with material recorded 2005 through 2008.
An involved mixture of drum rhythms, traditional instruments (some clean, some possibly synthesized), layers of atmospheric ambience, occasional field recordings, later more industrial layers and thicker ambient drones.
Great album. Fans of neo-folk, and Russian/east European bands that incorporate folk (LORD WIND, KRODA) should consider the samples below.
8 page booklet with great full colour photographs.
This album is dedicated to all the wanderers of the cursed forests and men amongst ruins.
