Review
Not all is speed and chaos on Down in the Cold of the Grave, as the band also includes rather atmospheric and somewhat emotional moments on the album. For instance, the main riffs and body of Icarus, the riffing style and the imagery that the band conjures with the atmosphere that is created on the track easily remind one of the more atmospheric style of Finnish bands such as Horna and Satanic Warmaster. The atmospheric aspects of the band are clearer on longer tracks such as the title track Down in the Cold of the Grave. More aggressive moments on the album are even somewhat reminiscent of the Swedish sounds of Marduk and Dark Funeral. - Heavy Metal Tribune 4/5
