Somnolent - Monochromes Philosophy (CD)

Monochromes Philosophy is the 2008 debut album from a new Ukrainian doom metal band, SOMNOLENT. Formed in 2006 and only self-releasing a live recording prior to this album. SOMNOLENT bring the essential character of funeral doom. Mournful guitars, deathly growls and a pace, carried by minimal but effective percussion, dragged out to the extremities. A very good first album to be considered by all doom fans.
