The Rotted Plinth of Sachiel is the debut album by international project, ONCHOCERCIASIS ESOPHAGOGASTRODUODENOSCOPY (OxEx). Once again inspired by the Neon Genesis Evangelion series, OxEx set out to further evolve their sound since last years EP, Adoration of Decaying Innocence. The duo incorporated their own sonic blend influenced by the likes of ARTIFICIAL BRAIN, DEATHSPELL OMEGA, DISENTOMB and more, creating a brutal album, wrapped up with a layer of crushing melancholy. Additionally, The Rotted Plinth of Sachiel features album art by Japanese Illustrator, Mei Maro, perfectly capturing both, the extreme and the somber vision the band was after.
