Departe
Failure, Subside
Digipak CD

Australia's DEPARTE unleash their monumental debut album Failure, Subside. Far beyond just being extreme, DEPARTE's smoldering darkness is colossal; with vast guitarscapes so thick and discordant as to suffocate life under their oppressive weight. Tracks like the unbelievable "Ashes In Bloom", "Vessel, and "Wither" show a deft ability to bring forth elegance among crushing heaviness in a roiling cauldron of emotional upheaval. Few bands bleed conviction and creativity like DEPARTE, and the enormity of Failure, Subside only underscores how impressive and vital a debut it is.
