Right out of the gate, this record is fucking HEAVY! The gritty mixture of death/doom is aggressive. But not only is it violent, but also atmospheric. The slow and dragging tempos provide a dark vibe to the heaviness of the bands chord progressions and chugging riffs. Usage of clean passages make for tasteful transitions between sections and also keeps the music fresh with variety. Haunting and melancholic are two great words to describe it. Every song is remarkable and there really is no filler at all. Each song holds itself very well and perfectly flows within each other. It gives the listener the feeling that instead of five separate songs, it is just one long song broken into sections to differentiate one from another. - Absolute Hell 5/5
