Review

Those into the more primitive stylings of the first wave stalwarts will find plenty to enjoy with Species of One. Sure, there are some second wave leanings, and just a dash of swaggering groove, but Vrag offers something dark and potent. This has been out for quite some time and it's really unclear why this album hasn't reached a much wider audience. This is one of coolest pieces of blackened metal to reach these ears in a while. The band is apparently unleashing something new in the near future, so be sure to check it out. - Metal Observer 4/5
