What is more impressive and to the point, even though that power is huge and world-spanning in scope it is never vulgar or bombastic. Kohnen has taken the best characteristics of what makes doom ambient as a genre so earth-shattering and powerful and allied them with a certain classicism and mature restraint that elevates it above so many other efforts in the field. The phrase 'quiet strength' comes to mind; this alone is what makes this an outstanding CD. - Heathen Harvest 5/5
