I'm quite satisfied with "A bloodred path", but the only reason that it's not full-pointer is because of the old material which is on it, but it's a great album to do a debut with.

Finnish melodic death metal, GATES OF ISHTAR completed recording their debut album A Bloodred Path on this day in 1996 at Tico-Tico Studios. The album was released that June through Spinefarm.
The unexpected last song is a cover of W.A.S.P.'s "I Wanna Be Somebody".
The reason to take the Wasp song is maybe because Wasp is a fucking great band and "I wanna be somebody" is a great old heavy metal opus, about Wasp being an influence to us I can't agree, it's not fucking influence to us, we plays the music we finds great and take influences from all great stuff we hear form every musical genre.

Note about the dates: CD booklet gives the recording dates as 20-30 January but in the interview from Ichor Andreas says "20th January till the 2nd February1996 and the release was set till 1st of June 1996". There were a few mistakes in the booklet, so it's possible the 30th is incorrect.
The printing mistakes on or in the booklet were Spinefarm's mistake, they did a shitty work for the album, I mean a professional label won't make such mistakes on a record with their name on it, at least not me if I had a label, but I think they were a little bit pissed off at us for some reason, but that's between them and us!!
