Primitive and barbaric Black Metal, BATHORY-style. This demo is fucking great, even if the drums sound like being handled by a hippopotamus, or some other animal lacking anything close to rhythmical sense!

SATYRICON recorded their second demo - The Forest is My Throne - over a March weekend, finishing on this day in 1993.
The band at that point was still solely Satyr's, with Frost (1349, ZYKLON-B) as session drummer and Lemarchand (Håvard Jørgensen - ULVER) as session bassist.
The demo was first self-released on tape. then in 1995, on Moonfog, as a split with ENSLAVED and their 1992 demo Yggdrasill.
Because our music is elite and we (as other elite bands) use our resources the way we were meant to. Hail all elite bands, you know who you are! We are also warriors of the true forest horde. Sons of Northern nature, climb up on your mountainside and die.
