POSSESSED began 1987 with DARK ANGEL and the Gates of Darkness tour. The tour was supporting the recently released Beyond the Gates (October 1986) and Darkness Descends (November 1986).
On this day in 1987 they played the Fenders Ballroom in Long Beach, California.
The show was filmed (crowd cam) and released on DVD in 2007 as the first half of Possessed by Evil Hell.
Exactly one month later they made an in-store appearance, with DARK ANGEL, at the grand opening of Thrash Records & Tapes in Monrovia, California. You can see some photos of the shop (1987-1995) here.
That night they returned to Fenders Ballroom with DARK ANGEL, CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER, and EVIL DEAD. That show is the second half of the Possessed by Evil Hell video, which can watch in full below.
