So what happens when you fly sideways through time? You end up at a Hawkwind gig at the Wembley Arena in 1973. Yes there was a time when Hawkwind were that big! This album is the definitive recording of that amazing event. It gives an insight into Hawkwind at their peak with the same classic line up that featured on the "Space Ritual" tour. Here we have unique and alternate versions of Orgone Accumulator, Sonic Attack, Master Of The Universe and Welcome To The Future. Also extremely rare live renditions of Urban Guerilla and Silver Machine complete with Bob Calvert vocals. The recordings lack, shall we say, a certain finesse but this makes it all the more exciting, it draws you in: making you listen deeper into the void. We have sonically spliced: atomically re-Arranged; accelerated and discharged the particles that make up this historic recording to try and polish the undeniable gem that lives within. It is presented here with all the modern gadgetry and wizardry that we can muster to recreate it in the cleanest version ever released: Listen for yourself, we think we have succeeded. Undoubtedly the focus of this rare live recording is the two poetry readings by the legendary Robert Calvert: "Gaga" and "In the Egg", unavailable elsewhere in the known Universe; these are rare gems indeed. It is a huge shame that there are not more recitals by Calvert on record from this or any other period.
