Penthos - Erevos (Cassette)

Greek PENTHOS chose the daimon of grief, despair and sadness for their band's name. Founded in the deepest pits of Athens in 2017 the horde have done their name justice by creating sinister black metal ever since. After their self-titled debut from 2022 - their only output so far - the time has now come to unleash PENTHOS' second full length album. PENTHOS clearly put a lot of effort into crafting dynamic, richly atmospheric songs with catchy and memorable riffs. Most songs like "Dancing Dead" or "Thanatos" oscillate between stomping mid-tempo and fast paces making Erevos a captivating listen. Listeners won`t find any anxious attempts at innovation on Erevos instead the album presents a professional studio production of over 40 minutes of well-composed black metal in the traditional way.
